KERALA HILL STATIONS

Kasargod - Ranipuram which is 85 Km from Kasargod on the Kozhikode Mangalore is
a beautiful mountain terrain for trekking . It is approximately 715 m above sea level. This terrain is covered with Shola woods and grassland.

Wayanad - Chembara peak which is 2100 m above msl, is an ideal place for trekking. Another place in Wayanad is Lakkidi, which is about 700m above msl situated at the crest of Thamarasseri Ghat pass. Tusharagiri is another spot where trekkers can climb in this uphill evergreen forest.

Kozhikode -Vellari Mala that has waterfall and green landscape make it an idyllic place for trekking

Palakkad - Nelliyampathy, which is at the height of 467 to 1525 m above sea level is another fascinating hill station. This spot is also a delight for trekkers.

Munnar - Some of the very interesting places around Munnar hill station for adventure and trekking are Lock Heart Gap, Rajamala, Chitirapuram, Devikulam and Top Station and Anayirangal. Prime attractions are Kuthumkal waterfalls and Observatory hills

Thiruvanathapuram - Ponmudi, which is 915 m above sea level, is an idyllic hill station with winding roads and small rivulets. An ideal place for trekkers.

Agasthyakoodam, which is part of the sahayadiri range of mountains, is the second high

est peak in Kerala with a height of 1890 m above sea level. It is also a bird watchers paradise. The forest here is teeming with wildlife and abounds in medicinal herbs.
