KERALA BEACHES
Thiruvanathapuram - The Kovalam beach that is 12 km south of Thiruvanthapuram is one of the best beaches in Kerala.
Kollam - Thirumullavaram beach, which is 6 km north of Kollam town is an ideal spot for
swimming.
Mallapuram - Vallikunnu Beach A beach resort set in the middle of a coconut grove is the main attraction here. The Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary is just a short distance away.
Kasargod - The Bekal beach with the 300 years old Bakel Fort is the largest and best-preserved fort in Kerala, which is 16kms south of Kasargod on the national highway. This imposing circular structure of laterite, rising 130 feet above sea level, stands on a 35-acre headland that runs into the Arabian Sea
Kozhikode - The Kappad beach 16kms from Kozhikode, this is the historic beach where Vaso-da-Gama landed. Here the sprawling rock near the beach protrudes into the sea.
Ernakulam - Cherai beach -This beach borders the Vypeen island and is an ideal place for swimming
Alleppey - Alleppey beach - This beach has an old lighthouse and a pier, which extends to the sea
