| Day 1-2 |
Touchdown in Ernakulam. Our representative will meet you and would be ready to drive you to Alleppey. A two hours drive will take you to a resort in the backwaters of Alleppey. Settle down and unwind. You can even take a leisurely canoe ride by the edge of the backwater, of course with the boatman accompanying you |

| Day 3 |
Today you will board the 70-foot houseboat; a rugged traditional boat converted into some kind of a luxury float with 2 rooms enough for 4 people to stay inside. Your journey into the backwater will start from the resort or from the finishing point where you will find an array of houseboat

| Day 4 |
Breakfast -The journey is breathtaking as the boat travels through a network of canals. At some point it comes out into the vast open lake. Your houseboat will sometimes moor to the canal side. Your boat might anchor again in some other village and your local guide would escort you to a few old temples and churches in this village, and show you even the market place where you get fresh fish and vegetables. |

| Day 5-6 |
Disembark from the houseboat to a homestay in the countryside. Meet your host, a warm and friendly couple who would instantly make you feel at home. Your host would take you around the house that also has a sacred grove and a temple. He would also tell us more about the paddy field behind his house and the process of harvesting and sowing during season as the cultivation in this area takes place below sea level. We will also visit an illam.

| Day 7-8 |
You arrive at a homestay. Located on the eastern side and close to the sea this countryside is dotted with coconut trees. Meet your host, a warm and friendly couple who would instantly make you feel at home. Your host would take you around their farmland. See some historical places and shops in the alleyway. Watch the Chinese fishing net, synagogue, and Dutch palace. Later visit a 300-year-old heritage home where you can watch the traditional art that is still continued in this home.
Head off on a small boat for a ride through the lagoons. After a full lunch relax by the backwater. Evening is reserved for some activity in the small town where you can watch some folk art in temples and buy some small stuff from the market.

| Day 9 |
We leave this backwater homestay to a hotel near Ernakulam and don't miss the auto rickshaw ride in Ernakulam, we hire the rickshaw to do some shopping and joy ride into the narrowest alleyway which is named Broadway. Depart for train station or airport. |
